A Grand Saline Tour

This morning we decided to get out of the house and have an adventure. Dad took us to a very old wooden bridge that went over the train tracks, but no train at the time. We also went to see the caboose and the salt bowl where Dad did his Eagle Scout project. No trip is complete without a visit to the dollar store as well. The Salt Palace was skipped this time and we will go again when Kendrick is older.

However, the icing on the cake was taking a drive through the back roads of GS that I had never seen. You know you have spotted a red neck when instead of raking leaves, he is raking aluminum cans. I am dead serious.

Oh, yeah. That's what I get for blogging on my phone. I can't edit it until I get home. But yes I got it backwards. What a laugh we got out of it though!

I hope your boys are ready for a boat ride in lake Ponchartrain. Will is getting a new boat and can't wait to get some little boys in it!

Boy, that takes me back. Had COMPLETELY forgotten about the Pole Town Bridge. I can still remember the sound of the boards rumbling under your car as you passed over it.

Pictures! I want more pictures!
