Welcome 2009

Sorry there is no Literacy Thursday today. It will be picked back up next week.

As for our New Year, we rang it in with a bang. We had the Core plus more (neighbors) at our house last night for a "little get-together." We served up breakfast and Stephen's Crescent Roll Sandwiches were a hit. Fireworks were popped and the kids lasted until around 9, however, the party continued for another 6+ hours!

After the initial putting away of food and most trash, we quit cleaning. The kids were up at 8, we ate breakfast and then puttered around the house playing with toys and the Wii until lunch. After lunch there was an hour and half bike ride and playground search. We rode around until we found a new park to play at. Following, we had Hill family nap time and then hot tub time.

So, my "resolution" today--not worry about the status of the house and enjoy my family time more. Yes, cleaning needs to happen, but there are just certain times where it doesn't matter and taking advantage of the time you have together is more important. So, I guess a little piece of my type A personality is being chipped off this year.
