Stephen's Birthday

This weekend we celebrated Stephen's birthday. What a wonderful four days we enjoyed with him home and no work. We were a real family doing family things. So this is what it is like to not have to work on the weekends.

We rode bikes almost everyday, played at different parks and playgrounds, played Wii, read books and enjoyed each others company. I feel a bit lame in my presentation--I didn't bake a cake, or cook anything and I didn't even have a card. Due to the fact we had an early engagement on Saturday morning, Stephen received his breakfast in bed a day late. He was also jipped a bit on dinner in that it was a bit progressive. We went to the restaurant, Capital Grill, and ate our appetizer. Then, we went to church to hear and support our college choir and then back to the restaurant for the rest of dinner.

This afternoon we topped off the weekend with some "Core" time at the Falcone's new house. BTW--Brenda, it is beautiful! And, I am way impressed at how fast everything was hung and unpacked and it all looks like it has always meant to be there. Perfect! We had yummy burgers and then he was surprised with mini-cupcakes with the absolute cutest little alphabet candles spelling out "Happy Birthday!"

So, my dearest husband of mine, I hope this birthday was what you desired and you could see how much the people around you care for you. Though, it might not have been as eventful and exciting as other birthdays past, the time with you was priceless for me. You are an amazing husband, friend, and father and we are all blessed to have you in our lives. I love you!

Happy Birthday Stephen! It sounds like you guys had a great weekend. I love that you had an intermission from your dinner to go see the choir, very dedicated alumni, the two of you are!

Our mission was to make Stephen feel special and not have the holidays take away from celebrating him. Hope we were successful!

Thank you for your kind words on our house..it was a full family effort around here. although most thought I was insane for moving during the holidays, I am glad we did. I am ready to start the new year on a clean slate..literally!
