A Toothbrush Conundrum

Last night as I was getting ready for bed at Nana's house I realized that I had forgotten my toothbrush. As a wife of a dentist, you might be appalled. However you might also be appalled by what is to follow. So, you have been warned.

I proceed to look in my husband's dop kit and realized that he brought his electric toothbrush, but its batteries were dead. Useless. So, I opened the drawer next to the sink. To my surprise there was not one, but a handful of used toothbrushes. I am sure that at some point I left one here and one of them was actually probably mine. I found Mom and made sure that none of them had been used on the sink, tub or toilet.

Now you might be surprised at the toothbrush I use at home. It is a generic that Stephen brings home from the office that has the office details printed on the handle. Nothing special. So, since I had my pick of interesting toothbrushes, after running hot water over it for some time, I chose the Colgate 360. I must say, I highly recommend it. Nice bristles and it even has a tongue scrubber on the back side.

The part of it that is so hilarious to me is that my Mom keeps 10 used toothbrushes in the drawer in the guest bathroom! I just kept giggling at it. Of course Stephen kept teasing me that maybe some air conditioner repair man might have taken one and scrubbed it who knows where. Oh well. Our mouths are already the dirties part of our body.
