MILK!!!

A while back Kendrick did the sign for "all done." He did it just a few times and then has kind of quit. I've really been trying to get him to use "milk" now that he is only taking it from a sippy cup at meals and then whenever he wants some. Finally, yesterday he did it! Yeah!!! I can see the light at the end of the speechless tunnel. He is also doing "bye-bye" at the appropriate times!

Lest You Think Cavett Gets All the Attention

He's taking more steps! Nana bought us some shoes last week, so they have slowed us down a little bit, but he'll really be there in no time. He also decided to check out the slide on his own accord today.

First Steps

Kendrick took his first real steps todaywhile we were at the church library. There were about three in a row and then I caught the second set on camera. Very exciting!

Not So Little Anymore

The other day we (the entire family) took a "special" trip to Toys 'R Us. I say special because I NEVER buy toys. So, when we do it is a very special occasion. The occasion is Mommy and Daddy are getting away for a few days. Cavett and Kendrick will be staying at our house with a dear friend of ours, Katy. So, we bought them each a "special" toy to play with while we are gone. Cavett chose a Hot Wheels Stunt Set and Kendrick got a walker. As you can see, he will probably walk alone while we are gone!

Keeping up with brother

Kendrick has decided he needs to keep up with his brother. Today he started standing up with out pulling up. He's not even 9 months yet. I'm afraid he'll be walking soon.

Cavett had his first slip and slide experience today. It took some coersion and another kid showing him how it worked, but he warmed up to the idea.

Van Cliburn in the making

Ok, so he isn't Van Cliburn, but Kendrick did enjoy playing his piano this afternoon. He has also decided he can sit up on his own for a little bit. Although, he does do a face plant after about 30 seconds.

P.S.- If you know my brother, Jonny give him a shout and tell him Happy Birthday. I think he is 25 today.
